Bonaire 2019 - Windsock

Windsock is one of our favorite SCUBA diving sites on Bonaire due to its sandy entry and the variety of life. Everything from squid, to seahorses, to lobsters, to barracuda, you name it, we've seen it here. This is a compilation of eight dives we did in January of 2019. Shot with a GoPro Hero7 black, no lights, and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe for m...

thank you so much for this video, I chatted with 3 different amazon assistants and either one could helped me. I was able to understand how this process works thanks to you!!
I stayed at that same hotel 😂
We've actually stayed there four times, I think, in different units. Love it but decided agreed eight years visiting the island to buy a place of our own.

Hello! My wife and I just booked our first trip to Bonaire! We're going in January 2020. It's really awesome to see your videos from the same time of year as the visibility looks REALLY GOOD! Your videos are well done! I too have a Hero 7 Black with filters. Some of your shots look like you may be using a light? Is this the case? If so, what do you use? Handheld, etc? I'm thinking about buying a tray for my GoPro so I can make sure it's SUPER steady and can add a light to it. Thoughts? Also (I know, it's a lot of questions) I see you guys are wearing suits. We usually dive summers in most places where the water temp is in the mid 80s. I see the water there in January is typically about 5 degrees cooler than that (79/80-ish?) or so. Do you recommend a suit or you think a dive skin would suffice? I'm not a cold diver. Meaning, I usually wear a rash guard and board shorts, but want to be prepared. Thanks gain!
Enjoy your trip! My husband and I will be there for two weeks in January also. The visibility can vary depending on the conditions but I would say what's in the videos is pretty typical. We never have had bad visibility, that's for sure. I don't use any lights in my videos, but the sun coming out fully versus being behind a cloud can make a big difference! I'm pretty sure the water temperature has been pretty steady around 78 degrees during our various trips. I could probably get away without a shorty (I just wear regular leggings and a rash guard top underneath, primarily to keep from getting sunburned as I have lupus). My shorty is 3MM and I have debated going without it but there are times I have gotten very slightly chilly during the dive, especially when doing multiple dives per day. So probably best to bring it and decide once you're there!
@@JayneRylonBooks Thanks for the info. We'll bring something in addition to the usual rash guard/board short set up we normally dive in, just in case. We'll be there the 11th thru the 18th....maybe we'll run into each other. Haha!
Great Vid !!
Thank you! :) I just posted one from our most recent trip!
As a Kiwi, I constantly forget how much we have in the way of beautiful scenic places. I'm impressed at your efforts to pronounce the Maori place names - while there were a few that made me go "where's that?" I also know that there are also Kiwi's who don't make the effort with Kiwi pronunciation. Even if you didn't make it as far south as our windy capital (Wellington) it still looks like you saw a lot in your time here. By the way, you did a good job showing the power of Huka Falls.
There's always next time to make it to Wellington. We'd love to come back. Thank you!
Thank you for the video. I tried to send a book to my kindle three times, and didn't understand why it didn't make it. After your video I realized my e-mail was not an approved e-mail.
LOOOL, i've watched sooo many videos and only your comment helped me 🤡🤡🤡
I like the review about Jesus watching!
That was very detailed. It worked. Thank you very much!!
Jayne, What camera do you use? The photography is fantastic. Thx
Thank you! This was shot with a GoPro Hero 4 but I have a 7 black now and the onboard image stabilization is SO MUCH better!
Cheers from India
It is unlikely that I will travel in person to Australia but I have enjoyed viewing small parts of it through your eyes. Thanks
I never thought I would make it there either, but I'm so happy we had the opportunity. Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
So awesome that as Kiwi that has read all your books that you've actually been here on holiday. I hope NZ was kind to you!
NZ was absolutely stunning. We are hoping to come back to see more of your amazing country. Next time we should meet up for a drink and some book chat! :)
@@JayneRylonBooks if you head north of Auckland then absolutely!!
@@jbwhangarei4549 That was an area we didn't get to yet, so I'd say it's likely!

We loved it there and would be glad to visit again! Next time we'll have to meet up :)
Worked perfectly, thank you!
great video. scuba cert, but haven't gone on a vacation dive. was told Bonaire would be the best for a beginner.??
I have about 80 dives logged and most of them are on Bonaire. I've also been diving in Hawaii and the Cook Islands but we keep coming back to Bonaire (January will be our seventh year in a row) because it's SO easy. I don't want to be stressed on vacation. This is definitely the place to go. You can dive from the shore at your own pace. The navigation couldn't be easier as the reef parallels the shore. And the reef is close to shore and shallow. You can see great stuff never going deeper than 50 feet if you choose and as shallow as 25-30 if you prefer. I couldn't recommend it more highly as a novice and even as you get more comfortable over time.
Awesome video 🤙
When you send to kindle, under content and devices its listed not under books but Docs. You probably know this by now anyway. Nice Video.
this works!! ThankYou.
great clear video
thank you!
first Bonaire trip in 2 weeks. excited. thanks for the video
You'll have a great time! We're heading back for two weeks in January. Can't wait!
Many thanks, Jayne. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Great video. I am headed back for my second trip and staying at Buddy Dive again in 5 days. I am stoked.
Just saw this but hope you had fun! :)
Thanks, you've saved me a lot of work!
Great video, can't wait to return & a surprise to see our good friends Richard & Sue, glad you had an amazing time 😀
Did you upload part 2, we head back for our 7th trip this September :-)
I actually just finished uploading it. It should finish processing and be ready for viewing sometime tonight. I hope you enjoy it! I'm jealous. I already can't wait to go back but we're going to Australia and New Zealand this September so hopefully we'll be heading back to Bonaire again early next year.
Heading there for my 4th trip in 36 days. Hope you guys had a great trip.
Have fun on your trip! I never thought I'd visit a place so often when there are a lot of places I've never been but it's worth a repeat or ten :)
It's a good thing there aren't many of these videos because I would totally waste all day watching hahaha . P.S. Just adore the Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine LOL
Hahaha love it ! And there have actually been many books I picked up because of a 1-2 star rating were everything they hated made me want to read it lol . We need more of these videos :)
Bad reviews make me want to read the book. I must go sharpen my pencil. Thanks for the laughs.
FRIGGIN HYSTERICAL !!! Keep Them Coming - We Want More !! Love You ALL & so happy I found more authors to read ! LOL (p.s. SMOOCH to Joey W. Hill )

Awww! The didn't like ba-donk-a-donk? How bout a little brown chicken, brown cow?
Oh, that's funny. And I've read each and every one of these authors. MANY time. MINE, MINE, MINE lol.
That Powertools one lol, I love that series and the spin-off... now to go look at the books I've never read from this video.
LOVE THIS.
OMG I have read almost everyone of those books! And I think I saw a couple that are now on my TBR! I love this! I would love to see more of these!!! Made me laugh!!!
Deb Carroll Thanks Deb! We're in the process of cooking up some more videos...as soon as I finish writing this book :)
No wonder their books are so bad. Not one of these people can even comb their own hair.
You should relabel this hokey video: "Pathetic Loser Women Who've Never Had Sex Get Slammed For Writing About The Subject They Know Least About." What a bunch of morons.
I really love this video it makes me very happy.
HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!
I made a list! Lol! Thank you ladies (and gentlemen!) for your great attitudes!
After a rough day, this literally made me laugh out loud!
